ANSWER GUIDE FOR THE MOST FREQUENT QUESTIONS
What do I need to rent a bike?
A valid proper form of Identification, (DNI, Passport, Driver’s License),
Where should I go?
To our customer service shop and office located in La lluna street # 1 in Barcelona. Our working hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Sunday.
Remember to confirm our bike’s availability - it’s better to call before to our phone number (+34) 931 743 705.
We don’t make any reservations by phone, but if you want to make sure the availability of the bikes, you can make the reservations by e-mail giving previous notice of 48hrs. Our email address info@barcelonafoldingbike.com.
If the reservation is being made with more than a week in advance, you must reconfirm the reservation 48 hrs before the date of the rental of the bike.
The reservations require a safety deposit in advance of 50% of the total cost.
We only accept the cancelations of a reservation if it’s made 24 hrs before the date scheduled to be rented. Any cancellations that are made after this period or at the moment of the rental will imply the loss of the safety deposit that has been made. .
To make your life easier, you also can request the rental and the return of the bikes directly to your hotel or lodging, as longest you’re staying not more than 1000m. away from our office and shop. This type of service has to be arranged previously and will have an additional cost of 5 Euros per bike, as a concept of “handing and returning at place of the bike”.
When and how should I pay the renting service?
The payment must be made in cash at the beginning of the renting period and for the full amount.
What type of safety deposit do I need to make?
The safety deposit must be in cash and it will be totally refundable at the moment that the rental period ends, as long as you return the bike and gear in the same conditions that when it was handed to you by Barcelona Folding Bike.
The deposit amount will be established according to the bikes, the renting gears and also depending of the renting period of time.
The customer is entirely responsible for the proper use and safety of the bike at the moment of the rental.
Any malfunction that might be detected in the performance of the bike must be informed immediately to a Barcelona Folding Bike representative so that they can make all the necessary adjustments or replace the client with a new bike. Any mechanical assistance and the replacement of the bike are free of charge, which is included on the renting contract.
Our bikes have the manufacture’s warranty, as well as daily check ups and tuning from our trained proffesionals.
